Join NAIOP for a behind-the-scenes tour of the redevelopment of one of downtown Cincinnati’s most historic and iconic towers!
 
The redevelopment of the Union Central Tower from office to 281 market rate apartments is one of Cincinnati’s largest adaptive reuse projects ever.
 
Union Central Tower was constructed in 1913 and remained an office building until City Club purchased it in 2019 with plans for conversion to residential.  City Club started the redevelopment in 2022 but due to many challenges with the project, City Club sold the development in 2024, mid-construction, to a Detroit based real estate investor Stanley Dickson. Mr. Dickson hired 39 Forward, a Cincinnati-based consulting firm, to stabilize the project and manage the completion of the project. Towne Properties was engaged to lease and manage the property. Leasing began in early 2025 and the building currently has over 200 units completed with the remaining units to be completed in September 2025. Various amenities including a tenant lounge (Gilbert Lounge named after Cass Gilbert the original building architect), a bark park and a 19th floor pool deck will be completed this summer.
