Join NAIOP, along with the University of Cincinnati and Messer Construction for a Behind The Scenes Tour of Siddall Hall Campus. Siddall Hall is an 11-floor student housing building located on the south side of campus that can house as many as 570 residents. Currently, the dorm offers singles, doubles, triples and quads, all in the traditional style.
Project Info
o Half life renovation of Siddall Hall dormitory at UC
o Originally built by Messer in 1963
o 120,000 square feet
o 14 occupied floors and a penthouse
o Includes a fitness center, study areas, and housing for 504 students
o Scheduled to be completed July 2024
According to the university’s Capital Projects in Design and Construction, the renovation will include reconfiguring rooms and spaces on all floors for the dorm rooms and restrooms. A new common lounge space, study areas, laundry, kitchen and a housing office suite on the ground level will also be created for residents.
All those interior changes are in combination with the structural and technical modifications Siddall Hall will undertake in the renovation. New finishes will be put onto the building’s frame, and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, fire alarm, technology, and vertical transportation systems and equipment will be installed.
Siddall Hall will be the fourth building on the southwest corner of campus to be in the renovation process this year.
